It shouldn't be considered revolutionary to think about Black American Political Science as something that's as detailed and scientific as finance, but this is where we are. From Symbolism to Science

I was interviewing the Chairman of the political science department at Howard University and I asked him if his department teaches any courses on corruption and lobbying in politics. He told me no. 

The more I researched about the rise of the political influence of Facebook, Google, Amazon, influential government contractors such as Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, and lobby groups such as AIPAC, the pieces of the monopoly board started coming together. Specifically, how corporations and an enormous amount of money, corruption and lobbying fatally weaken and undermine Black American politics and Black Americans. The factors of this political weakness during the period of 1995-2025 haven't been carefully isolated and audited. For example, we know a lot about the perceived benefits of Barack Obama but not much about the costs to Black America.  The intention of BPSC 101: 50 Lessons in Black Political Science and Culture is to give you a clearer picture of the political balance sheet.

How can we understand our politics and political weakness if we don't connect the dots with the money? I found myself better understanding American politics. Once we understand how the American machine works at a scientific level, what do we do about it? Once we understand that symbolism and "first Black diversity" work more for corporations and the establishment keeping power in the Democratic Party, than for substantive policies for Black Americans, what do we do about it?

He attended Syracuse University College of Law and earned his Political Science degree from Morehouse College.  As an undergraduate, Martin was awarded a Ralph Bunche Fellowship by the American Political Science Association, which enabled him to study graduate-level political science at the University of Virginia, including courses in Research Methods & Analysis and Race and American Politics – academic foundations that inform his data-driven approach to political analysis.

My journey into Black politics started when I was seventeen and took a bus from South Central Los Angeles to the Million Man March on October 16, 1995.

50 Lessons is an account and lessons of what's happened since 1995. I said to myself, "My people deserve an audit of our political affairs to set up a great reset, a renaissance." This Black American political renaissance must be programmed with more scientific thinking and less symbolism. More scientific thinking and and less spook. More action and accountability and less prayer to resolve material outcomes.  More strategy and planning and fewer sermons and preaching.  More political efficiency and fewer promises. 

Corruption and lobbying (Swamp) are not emphasized in Black Politics but should be. It is now time for new Scientific politics for Black America and less SPOOK.
